How many girls would be accepted from each area?
There will be many women competing from all over the world. There will be no geographical limitations.
If I’ve won an international title before, can I compete?
Yes, if you are a previous winner in any pageant title like The Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss USA or any professional pageant, you are eligible to compete for the Miss Indigenous title. We welcome all those that want to participate at the natural level.
How do I apply to compete in Miss Indigenous pageant?
Register and submit your information. Be sure to include a recent photograph and an application fee. You will receive a reply within 2-3 weeks by email to let you know your status.
Will there be state or regional contests?
At this time, we are not holding state or regional, however, the state will be in the near future.
What are you looking for in a winner?
We are looking for a woman with mental endurance, poise, intelligence with great creativity that can lead and serve her communities with love.
What happens after I submit my application with a photograph?
Your information is submitted to the review committee. It will be processed within a period of ten (10) days. After it is reviewed, successful applicants will receive an approval email that contains instructions on taking the next steps.
Is there an application fee?
Yes, there is an application fee of $100.00
Is there an entry fee? If so, how much?
There is a sponsorship fee, which includes participation fees, meals, and accommodation during the pageant week. There is an early bird special if you submit payment before the deadline. Once approved, you will receive paperwork to help secure sponsorships to cover your fees. The fee amount is listed on the official application.
When do I receive my paperwork and sponsorship package?
When you have at least the first downpayment paid in full, you will receive packages, information and guidance from professionals The sooner you get started, the better prepared you will be for the pageant.
How much experience do I need in order to qualify for this pageant?
No experience is needed to compete in Miss Indigenous. The pageant comprises of both experienced and inexperienced participants. Part of the week’s activity is to guide and help every participant be the best they can be. You will receive all the training you need through the Miss Indigenous University.
Can I wear hair extensions?
This is a pageant that does not allow hair extensions of any sort. Miss Indigenous pageant is organized to glorify natural hair and beauty globally. Therefore, the objective will be defeated if hair extension is permitted.
Can I wear make-up?
Yes. You are allowed to wear your makeups as you seem fit. But please be advised that each contestant will have one interview without make-up.
